we have been having a small issue with little moths in the house of late. our Zebra finches and Irn are all indoors. we think is because of the bird seed that they flick around. anyway today i went to feed our IRN some pear when i found eh had one of the small moths in his beak. is it usual for IRNS...

not really, but today he has been 100% back to normal. maybe he just had an upset tummy, yet he was still eating. we seem to think he went down hill after we fed him a green grape. i washed the grape before i gave it to him though. could it be that he is sensitive to green grapes? we hadnot tried hi...

our bird has just started having the same behavior today. he/she (not sure of the gender yet) is 6 months old and up until today has been fine, playing eating and grooming as normal. but just this afternoon he/she has just been sitting on the perch not moving around much a all and is slightly puffed...

Training our IRN to speak.

Any advice or tips anyone can share on training a 6 month old IRN to start speaking? and at what stage? right now its still early days. we have had him for 1 week. he came from an aviary of other IRNs but wasnt tame. no he accepts food from our hand is is begging to step up. :)

his personality seems fine, he just tends to scratch at his nose from time to time and then sneeze. he is eating fine and there is no change in his personality. could there be something that is irritating his nose? such as something we feed him or perhaps even dust. we do try to keep the house and t...
