might be a long shot but all my birds, 4 kinds of conures and my ringnecks ,love corn on the cob. didn't see my sun conures eating it but was down to a husk when I looked next. worth a shot maybe.

does your bird seem ok?, if the bird isnt stressed seems healthy and it is being normal, you might be overthinking it.

also , if you live in an apartment how good are your neighbours?, as they can be quite loud.

sounds like its just during and after feeding though which makes me think its to do with the feeding. personally id leave the dextrose out and do a smaller feed to see if she still pants or just use a proper feeding formula. also, how hot is the mixture when you feed the chick?

i hope someone that knows better comments, but to me it seems like a lot of food in 1 sitting and alot of dextrose.

just tried a dark green violet{sf} split to cleartail cock and hen on the online calculator , good luck in working out what you have when you get chicks lol
