since i have started on this site i have noticed that i had to sign in twice.

doing that stopped the little, new post images showing up.

i have managed to get around this by clicking the "log in to check your PM" link at the top.
after i log in i can goto the index by clicking the site logo and the new posts are there for me to look at.

not sure if this is any help to anyone, but thought it might help someone.

We all have to log in twice. Even me.

not with the above method you dont.

it's a small glitch in the linck between index.php and login.php

You are absolutely right--when I am at work (Explorer) I log in using the check PM button to avoid having to log in twice and it always works, at home (Netscape) either one works on the first try. Stranger, I belong to another board developed from the same software and it does not require the double logging (or check PM) to use from work. All a great mystery. Glad you remembered to post the hint! Off to cage hunt......

I log in the same way and I don't have to log in twice anymore either....

Its a little better these days. It use to be EVERYTIME. Regardless of how you logged in. But yeah, at one time we could get around it by logging in to check PM's. You'll see that sometimes works, sometimes dont.

This board is a joke, archaic.
