Priya and Nila were at the vet again yesterday, Priya's DNA is female!!!
Nila was already well aware of that.
But her white blood count was high and so they are both on antibiotics for 3 weeks.
Nila weighted 104 gms and Priya weighted 137 gm. She is a piggy.
And she loves to bully Nila Very Happy

This is shaping up to be a real relationship here. Very Happy

After 1 day of antibiotics she was already perkier today.

Nila was DNA male and Priya DNA female

So now I have a pair of birds but the vet reassured me it would be about 3 years before I have to worry about raising a family. I hope he's right. Very Happy

I'm not sure I could take all that excitment and I can tell you already I won't want to give up any babies. I'll want to keep them all.

Yeah I fell better that they are on antibiotics and hopefully that will cure what is ailing them.
Priya has started talking already, she is mimicing Nila.
Nila talks up a storm every day. And if I take him from the cage first thing in the am, Priya is a sleepy head and doesn't want to be bothered until we leave the room the cage is in then she's like wait one minute there I want to go to, and this morning she said:
Good morning, what cha doin? to get my attention.
Needless to say she got my attentiion and she got to come with us to the kitchen to wash dishes and get breakfast ready.

Feel better about the baby thing, uh not yet. I'm just going to try to put it out of my mind, I said to the vet I really had no intention of allowing a nest and breeding and he said, "well sometimes nature just takes it's course and you don't really get a choice" and he smiled at me, like you poor misguided fool. :roll
So you guys had better keep the mbs going for a few years yet so I can find good homes for any babies I can force myself to give up. Very Happy
